Things to do in Hale, Iosco County & Huron Forest
Hale is also the Gateway to the Huron National Forest, which provides winter sports enthusiasts with great opportunities for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.
Iosco county is known as the Cross Country Ski Capital of Michigan, and is also a very popular place to hunt in the fall months. We are also home to the West Gate of the River Road Scenic By-way, one of the most beautiful rides you will ever take in the fall.

Fun fact: The boat captain is Roger Rice. His father was Jim Rice. The same Jim Rice who was camp chef for years and the same man who the dining lodge is named after. Tell Rodger you are staying at camp for the weekend and that Karla "with a k" says hi!
